Lime Wood Carving Blanks (Basswood)

English Lime wood carving blanks of various sizes.
 
Lime is perfect for carving and good for turning.  Also known as Basswood or Linden, its smooth texture and even grain, along with the very limited number of knots, make it an ideal choice for carvers.
 
Air dried - ready to carve, less stressed
Supplied planed on two faces and clean cut - easy to mark out (50mm thick pieces may be unplaned)
Larger/longer blocks available - please contact us for details
May include very occasional small knot

Please note that the grain will always run along the 'length' of a chosen size.  Blanks may be supplied +/- 5mm in thickness.
