These are carefully chosen for their colour, intrigue or grain pattern. Out of the thousands of blanks we produce, we set aside the very best premium bowl blanks for this selection box, giving you the opportunity to turn some stunning bowls.
 
Representing excellent value, these are presented in a plain brown box which makes it ideally suited as a gift.
 
Containing four bowl blanks selected by us from the following:
Any Spalted wood including Beech, Sycamore, Horse Chestnut, Silver Birch, Elm, Holm Oak
Any Pippy or Burr (Burl) grained wood
Any Ripple or Crotch grained wood
Any fruit wood species - eg. Apple, Cherry, Pear, etc.
Any Quarter Sawn wood blanks where the grain is particularly intriguing
Lacewood
Walnut
English Olive Ash
English Brown Oak
Holly
Yew
 
Each box will contain a selection of four blanks selected from the list above.
 
Blanks will range in size:
Diameter 155 - 205mm (6" - 8")
Thickness 40 - 65mm (1 1/2" - 2 1/2")
 
Centre marked - quicker set up & less waste
Planed on both faces - less waste, quick & easy to mount on the lathe
All blanks labelled with their species 
Wax sealed edges - stable & ready to store if required
Fully seasoned/Air dried - less stressed than kiln dried & easier to turn
Carefully selected - always good quality
