African Blackwood Seconds Pack

If you've not worked with African Blackwood before, you should try this remarkable timber. Extremely heavy, dense and often completely black, with little or no discernible grain. Considered to be among the hardest and most dense woods in the world.
 
These seconds packs are made up of wood which doesn't meet our usual high standards but still has usable wood. They offer an affordable way to source African Blackwood.
 
Packs include pieces of all shapes and sizes, all of which will contain some sort of flaw, including splits, holes or waney edges. Sizes are approximately 10 - 80mm width and thickness and 30 - 300mm length.
 
Approx 10kg of wood.
 
The pictures show representative samples of the timber available but packs received will vary.
 
English Woods has procured this African Blackwood as part of a consignment of 'old stock' East African Hardwoods bought, from within the UK, from a retired importer.
