African Blackwood Small Offcuts Pack

If you've not worked with African Blackwood before, you should try this remarkable timber. Extremely heavy, dense and often completely black, with little or no discernible grain. Considered to be among the hardest and most dense woods in the world.
 
These small offcuts are a great way of trying out the timber and also for using in small carving and woodworking projects.
 
Packs include pieces of all shapes and sizes, some of which may include minor flaws including splits and natural holes. Sizes are approximately 10 - 30mm width and thickness and 20 - 300mm length.
 
Approx 2kg of wood.
 
The pictures show representative samples of the timber available but packs received will vary.
 
English Woods has procured this African Blackwood as part of a consignment of 'old stock' East African Hardwoods bought, from within the UK, from a retired importer.
