African Walnut Bowl Blanks

African Walnut is also known by its Latin name Lovoa trichilioides. It is actually a type of Mahogany, but gets its name because of its similarity to Walnut, both in colour and its seeds (nuts).

A rich, dark brown timber which is hard but not particularly dense, African Walnut can work well for turning or carving. The grain structure is consistent and will sand and polish very well.
